43 miles of high-elevation sweepers from Tellico to Robbinsville.
A purpose-built scenic highway that climbs from Tellico Plains, TN to Robbinsville, NC across the Unicoi Mountains. Wide pavement, long sight-lines, and almost no traffic compared to the Dragon next door.
Best season: May through October — frequently closed by ice November–March above 4,000 ft.

Ocoee River Gorge (US-64)
Whitewater on your right, rock face on your left.
US-64 follows the Ocoee from Cleveland east to the Ducktown copper basin and the Georgia line. Olympic whitewater, a string of overlooks, and the Cherokee National Forest on both sides.
Best season: Late spring through fall — rafting season runs March–October.

Twin towns on the TN/GA line with copper-mining history.
Twin border towns with the Ducktown Basin Museum, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway terminus, and a quiet network of TN-68 sweepers heading north toward Tellico Plains.
Best season: Year-round; fall for the Toccoa/Ocoee valley color.

TN-27 up Signal Mountain into Prentice Cooper State Forest, with Suck Creek Road's hairpins down to the Tennessee River. Pair with a Lookout Mountain run for a full Chattanooga day.
Best season: Spring and fall; summer mornings before river-valley humidity.
